As you can see from the graph to the right, the CI White is an extraordinary
value. At just $3.50 each in the refill kit, it’s about half the
cost of most other good cosmetic posts. But its low price is just part
of the story.
Look what you get for your money ...
- The proven CI taper offers two advantages over the parallel-post design. Excess cement escapes easily as you seat the post, so there’s no need to structurally weaken the design with a cement-release groove, and the taper allows maximum post length to fit into narrow roots.
- A woven fiber backbone - Traditional fiber posts feature parallel glass bundles. The CI White post is different. Its glass fibers are braided (like a glass splinting ribbon) to improve strength and stiffness.
- A coronal bulge further reinforces the post and resists marginal opening due to flexing. (A common weakness of resilient posts.)
- The serrated retentive head bonds tenaciously to any composite resin core material.
- Small enough to fit most lower anteriors
