Why wouldn't
you do it? Eliminate pins. Amalgambond-Plus makes it possible to do away with tooth-crazing, pulp-exposing pins. Nothing hangs on to an amalgam restoration with fewer post-op problems like this easy-to-use bonding system. And that's supported by an overwhelming volume of independent re-search. Minimal Tooth Preparation. The high-power bonds you get between a prepped tooth and an amalgam alloy bonded with Amalgambond-Plus makes tooth destructive undercuts obsolete. Now all you need to do is concentrate on eliminating caries. Retention is automatic with Amalgambond because it bonds to new or existing amalgams. Stop post-op sensitivity. Amalgambond doesn't just retain, it seals the tooth like synthetic enamel. So after-hours complaints of post-op sensitive teeth are a thing of the past. The hybrid layer seal you get with this bonding agent does away with hypersensitivity that often follows perio surgery…no restoration necessary. No varnish or liners. Varnish and liners are completely eliminated in teeth treated with Amalgambond. In fact, they just get in the way. Deep dentin and even small vital pulp exposures can be treated with it. The 4-META hybrid layer protects the pulp better than varnish and 2 coats of calcium hydroxide. Become a believer - Try Amalgambond-Plus
on your next "impossible" case. Once you experience what this extraordinary
bonding agent can do for you, you'll wonder why it doesn't cost more than
it does. No other dentin-bonding agent is backed by so much independent
research. Contact us for an extensive bibliography of university studies. AMALGAMBOND®
Great for Composites, Too! When we first introduced this remarkable bonding system to dentistry, way back in 1990, we knew that it was superb for bonding composites to dentin. But it was the only material at the time that was capable of delivering a "bonded amalgam". That made it very unique. So, the marketing folks here decided to capitalize on that feature, and wisely or not, christened the stuff "Amalgambond". Over the years we've attempted to tell folks the material is just great for composites too … despite its name. Unfortunately, most users don't get the message. Perhaps we haven't been doing our job well enough. Perhaps users just can't believe that something whose name plainly says it's for bonding amalgams just won't consider using the material with composites. But being tireless sorts and having quite thick skulls, we keep trying…and this is the latest attempt… We agree the name AMALGAMBOND is pretty dumb when you can use it with any composite. On a patient who may be turned-off by any reference to "amalgam", do what a user in California suggests around your operatory, just call it "A" Bond. ...And
